Dear All,
1) We are creating a report using 2LIS_03_BF data source.
2) We have added 5 new fields in data source using BADI.
3) Everything was working fine till PSA, but in DSO data is doubled
PSA:
DSO:
We can see in above fig that for eg Material BE001 has one empty Cell for Material type, Plant Material but second row those fields are populated, We should get only one row for that material, as we can see clearly in PSA.
Note: Ext MatLGrp, Material Type, Plant Material are enhanced fields using BADI.
Please help me in solving this issue.

as i know there are different types of info cube(standard, transactional ,virtual cubes(remote,sap remote,with services))
but which scenario we need which cube? in real life work when we need the different infocubes ?

Hi Experts,
I am working on BI 7.3. I got an issue in Process chain with Infopackage is getting failed with error message " Info IDocs are missing. The source system is not an SAP system. The IDocs are therefore created in the BW system. Since the IDocs are missing, a short dump probably occurred in the BW system".
As the Source system for this process chain is NON-SAP source system using DB connect and Infopackage is getting failed repetitively with above issue.
Could anyone please do let me know , how to rectify this issue ?

I followed following steps.
1. Activated the transformation from BI content again.
2. Tried in transport connection "object types" under "more types", but getting Input help for objects of type 'Routine' (ROUT) is not yet available.

Hi,
Our process chain got failed today showing an errors of invalid charcters. I maintained in RSKC transactio for those invalid charcters. But still my request in DSO is in red status only. When I try to delete from DSO, I could not delete the request. I am able to delete from PSA and reload agin. But iam unable to delete from DSO. I really don't understand the reason behind this........
Can anyone help me...........?

Excel 2010
BW 7.0
Queries run fine in Analyzer. No issues.
However, whenever we try to open a workbook saved in Excel 2007 we get this error "The workbook is corrupt and cannot be loaded".
These workbooks are executed fine from any PC with Excel 2007, same SAPGUI version (7.20 SP 0).
Furthermore, if we open a query and save a workbook (now in Excel 2010) we get the same error "The workbook is corrupt and cannot be loaded".
Basically, we can't open workbooks.
Since the only difference in both scenarios is Excel (same SAPGUI) I checked in some Microsoft forums and read something about incompatibilities in the new Visual Basic coding in Excel 2010 compared to 2007.
Other than that, nothing else so far.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Client created 3 hierarchies and can see in VDH1 for customer hierarchy.
Seems like we need to get these into BW and use them for authorizations.
Tried searching SCN and could find 0cust_sales to be used. Also the datasource 0CUST_SALES_LKDH_HIER as its time dependent.
But am not clear of how can I use these in authorizations. Am new to BW.
Please guide me in this.

Could you tell me how to stop/cancel a process chain that hangs with status yellow or green in BI 7.0? There was an easy option to do it in 3.x, but I cannot find a similar option in 7.0.
What happens is that at random our process chains hang at a certain variant with either yellow or even green status and do not proceed further. What happens is that in a couple of hours another pchain run occurs and it executes fine. Then again at random (might be the same day or the next day) the process chain hangs again. I think that all those "hanged" pchains pile up in the queue, so that it cause other future pchains to hang as well at some point. So, is there anyway to stop/cancel these zombie process chains when it stops at a particular event RSPROCESS in BI 7?

in the Bw system i have one more Master data.
from that source system data i have created one DSO.
From the BW system we have one more Master data as said.
With source systems data created DSO and on these two created Multiprovide.
but we need some time chatacherstics to be displayed in the reporting level based on data.
could you please give some idea on this development.
since we dont have a Key figure.
pleas provide your ideas

Have the below customer hierarchy loaded in BW:
ROOT - Node 1
-> 00/DR01/02564 - Node 2 (Level 1)
-> 00/DR01/02566 - Node 3 (Level 2)
-> 00/DR02/02570 - Node 4 (Level 3)
-> 00/DR02/02572
-> 00/DR02/02580
-> 00/DR02/02581
Client has also maintained some description for these customers and am able to see them in source VDH1 transaction beside each customer no.
Eg: 00/DR02/02572 Indiana Users
Now I need to update this "Indiana Users" in BW side for each of the customer that falls under this node.

Hi all,
I have some queries regarding the production movement from Quality. Its a mix of new development and also corrections in the old ones and minor enhancements of the old ones.
Our development is completed and we have a planned TR movement from quality to Prod this weekend. Am the only one to take care of that and this is kind of my first time.
We have all the BW TRs sent from Dev to Qua. Had many RC8's while import and some actions were taken to correct these. I am not aware of these issues yet. My lead took care of these and he is currently not there
I am only given list of around 80 TRs that have been imported in order in quality from Dev, and since there were many changes in UAT, lots of TRs got built up in the end. I even requested for a fresh TR collection of the data model from Dev but it was ruled out.
PS: I already read the docs of the transport available in forum. I would need some inputs in specific to help me pls.

Have one query.
Have 4 SD data sources in production with delta.
Init is done for almost 5 plants as of now in various releases.
Now tonight we are gonna need to set up delta pointer for upcoming plants in these data sources which have few fields enhanced.
I don't want to disturb the production init and delta.
Here is what am going to do:
Move the TR to production R3 from Qua R3
Replicate the datasources as they had been enhanced in Dev
Move the TR to BW from Qua
We currently have ONLY one init infopackage for each of these datasources. Do the below for each datasource.
Go to the current init infopackage, add 2 more plants in existing 5 plants selections, which means now 7 plants and run init without datatransfer.
Will this work as expected? Or should I create another init with these 2 new plants separately?
Please advice as its urgent!

Hi there,
I am wondering if somebody would be kind enough to give step-by-step instructions as how to delete three requests showing with "Red Symbol" in my Characteristic InfoObject (ZBKTXT1), under its "Texts Attribute" - TEXTS ZBKTXT1. Below is what I have done so far (ABAP Short Dump Error attached) :
1 - For all three requests, under "Requests" tab, for the push button, "Data Mart Status Of the Request", it says "Request Not Yet Updated With DataMart". Even then, when I go in there, select the request & hit "Delete", it takes me to the ABAP Debugger, and not sure what do to up there.. Since, I am thinking as "Request Not Yet Updated With DataMart" status is showing, I don't even have to go in there.
2 - For each request, I have selected the "Load Monitor" push button and went to the Monitor screen.
a - Up there, if I hit "Delete" in there, it opens up again the ABAP Debugger, and then gives me the "Short Error Dump" when I try to go out of the application.
b - For all of the requests, I even cannot goto the Header tab, when I am inside the monitor - it gives me again the "Short Error Dump".
c - I have checked, and cleared the "Error Stacks" from within the Monitor, for all the requests, since when now I hit it, it gives me message
"Request # is not available". I think at some point I might have deleted the "Error Stacks" for all the requests.
d - From the same screen (inside Monitor) for all the requests, when I hit the "Where-Used-List-For-Request" button, it comes up with another box, stating the "DTP Request: Where Used List". And, it has that particular request number, and when I select that "Request Number" and hit "Delete", it again comes up with "ABAP Debugger". Again not sure what to do up there.
e - From the same screen (inside Monitor) for all the requests, when I hit the "Manage DataSource", I come up with the message "Data Transfer Process DTP_ _ _ _ _ " does not exit - which is true since I have deleted the "Transformations" (and everything below that) both under my DataSource& InfoObject(ZBKTXT1), its "Texts Attribute" - TEXTS ZBKTXT1.
3- When I got to the "Contents" tab for this InfoObject (ZBKTXT1), under its "Texts Attribute" - TEXTS ZBKTXT1, I do see the following fields listed down there, but I don't get the option of "Edit" on this page.

Delete Request Finished successfully; No Errors found
6 - From the same screen, when I goto "Application Log" to "Analyse Application Log",
For Object : RSSM
Sub-Object : Mon - Monitor
External ID : DTPR_4W68ELOCA99ZF5IR99XSSFJ0I-DELET-ZBKTXT1$T*
and select the time restriction for this Analyse report, I come up with nothing.
Now, could anyone please tell me what else I need to do to delete "Those three requests" from my " InfoObject (ZBKTXT1), its "Texts Attribute" - TEXTS ZBKTXT1.
That's all I wanted to do, and start fresh - ETL.
Please help if you can. Appreciate if you guys give me step by step instructions.
